Dempster hwy to Tuktoyatuk 890km of two handed driving Aug 3rd

Off to the Dempster Highway well known for ripping tires apart, slippery when wet and fantastic road side views. I was very concerned about this drive the last time I was here in 2016 it was a nasty drive, today however the first 400km was good, rough yes but dry.  As most people know the faster you drive on a rough road the smoother it gets.  The only car prep I needed to do is pump up my tires an extra 4 pound to 36 instead of the stock 32.Hard tires with speed kind of skip over the holes in the road. There were several sections of wash board like, but more of 10" wash board instead of 1".

The last 300km was wet and slippery but it had dried some in the last 2 or so.  23 hours a day sunlight and wind changes the road a lot in a day. Inuvik, again not much here, really a transit outpost for groups or miners heading into the arctic.  Looked at Happy Valley Territorial park, and decided
to move on.  Tuk is only 137km and the highway is new so should be pretty good.

The road to Tuk, first 20km great, next 40 nasty, the road is soft and so you sink if you go too slow or stop for a moment, large ruts are developed and its a good thing I have a skid plate under my car. As for scenery that neat, both sides are flat dotted with lakes or ponds, berries can be seen from the car.
I can't stop to check them out as the car would sink into the road. Wildlife, 9 northern hares, 3 brown stork like birds.  The sun gets very low and does that skip along the horizon thing, and so is just near the ground level in for the last 18km is so low I can't see the road. The 137km take 4 hours to drive.
The make camp by the sign to the town, checking first is the ground is solid. Filled up at Fort McPherson $1.49 , fuel in Inuvik was $1.79 and I did not look
in Tuk driving a very hard 890km today.
