Canadian solo wilderness trips in a Golf TDI. Over the years this blog profiled trips to the furthermost spot one could drive in Canada to Inuvik NWT a 7,000km one way drive from Toronto. Later they opened a new road adding another 200km further to Tuktoyaktuk, so i went again. Since the USA Border closure has been extended to at least August 21st 2021 I am staying close to home so will drive around Ontario. Yes driving the same TDI is now has 660,000 kms

Dempster Trip 2.0 departure date July 27, 2018
Yup I'm going to the top of the world again this time to the very end of the new road, same car as before it now has 591k km. I plan spend more time in the Yukon, Northern BC and NWT weather permitting. Lets hope for dry warm days ahead. Just bought a Gopro5, laptop and SPOT
GEN 3 GPS locator which will up-date my location hourly or when ever I click it. I will bring better cold/wet weather clothing, my snorkeling gear and dry suit have to go swimming in the ocean no matter how cold it may be. Over all this trip shorter at about 18000 km, as always the least money spent means the more time adventure. I night in the bush in the car is another day on the road.
