Day 26, Wednesday August 3rd, 2016. Chilliwack to Sheridan Surrey

Today is pretty much a nothing day, Leaving Chilliwack I head for my car repair appointment, Vancouver has very bad traffic and there is no escape.  I arrive at the shop ½ hr early after 2 hours of go nowhere traffic.  Turns out, this shop opens at 9:30am, wow a repair shop with banker hours.

Andrew shows up at 10:30, turns out his business partner Lawrence is in the hospital and the shop is actually closed this week but he came in to help me out anyhow.

The rotor is not warped, but rather the caliper is stuck, such that the brake pad on the inside has completely worn down to the metal.  So when I apply the brakes the squealing sound I hear is metal against metal on the rear right rotor. The caliper winds up and with a new pad and 1 new rotor on back on my way and just $200 lighter.

Next stop, blueberries, turns out the delta is where the best tasting blueberry’s in the world are grown, you have not tasted a blueberry until you have had one of these beauties. I bought 5 pound for $10, they are just fantastic.  Funny thing about this area, real-estate must be restricted, there are several 5-8000 square foot homes with 5-8 car garages done up with a blueberry shed on their driveway.  It would seem you can buy a blueberry farm build a monster home but to keep the home you still must produce and sell blueberries.

The rest of the day is spend doing laundry, checking into the hotel early just 1:30 instead on 3pm and meeting a friend for dinner at a casino, all you can each for $27 bucks.

126km today. no pics
