Canadian solo wilderness trips in a Golf TDI. Over the years this blog profiled trips to the furthermost spot one could drive in Canada to Inuvik NWT a 7,000km one way drive from Toronto. Later they opened a new road adding another 200km further to Tuktoyaktuk, so i went again. Since the USA Border closure has been extended to at least August 21st 2021 I am staying close to home so will drive around Ontario. Yes driving the same TDI is now has 660,000 kms

Just where 400 goes down to 2 lanes into 69, on the east side should be Dinner Lake all around is GACL
. Located just north on Nobel 559 turn off (Killbear Park). There is a section of decommission hwy here where parking maybe possible. The pond is visible from the highway. East side.

Next Healey Lake road, no 400 hwy exit, again coastline at Hellangone Lake appears private but only a few houses on the south end. There is a road just north of the lake south side that traverses into general use lands and sends at south end of Hutcheson Lake, looks like town landing Road does not appear on Google maps, and no street view offered here.

This is Wahta Mohawk Researve on both sides but if you go west and take the first left (south) onto Kamien-Tara Ohaha road it goes to the river (unnamed on Google) The boat launch is on General Access Crown Land ("GACL") If you paddle west almost every where is open land. The google picture does show some rapids.
The map shows the coastline along the river is private but google does not show any houses or built structures. Look along the south side of the river for a portage trail at about 600 metres west on the river Lunnen lake should be just a 400 metre trail. .
Most of Gray and Lunnen lake shore looks private. However at the north and south end of Lunnen is GACL
For Grey lake and paddle to south end there should be a river and everywhere is GACL including the next large un-named lake and Herdman Lake.
